This allows you to work with a solution that spans more than one repository, enabling git operations across several repositories at the same time. Repositoryception!

This will be a big selling point to independent developers who contract with different companies.

I'd really hope that contractors aren't mixing projects from different clients in the same solution.

True, but previously I had been unable to use different repositories for different solutions.

Hiring more people is a solution, not a problem. By restating the problem as one of morale and stress, we open the door to many possible solutions. Just don't take the splitting too far

Despite doom and gloom at big tech, the hiring market remains strong for software developers and skilled IT staff. Unless you're part of the cuts, of course

Microsoft has introduced a new way to interop with native code in the just-released .NET 7, a fundamental change which improves performance and assists debugging but could also give developers some tough problems figuring out how to port their existing code. Great news for those who like debugging interop code
Sure, you don't have to use the new attribute, but then you wouldn't have to fix anything.

I heard from a former IBM employee (so I have no URL to back it up ) that there is an official term in IBM: A TF, Temporary Fix.
Informally, within IBM, there is another term: PTF, a Permanent Temporary Fix...
