I was walking my dog down the street earlier this month here in south east Minnesota USA when the Google Street view camera car drove by. We're in a drought hence the dried out lawns.
Best wishes to all - Craig

Awesome, we just adopted a dog, it's been about a year and half since our last one passed. I am actually enjoying walking again!

I just find the "anonymization" is a full crap, I can recognise a lot of people on the street views in my youth home town.
A bit brown, but looks like a nice place.

Here in upstate NY, outside Albany NY proper, everyone's yard is brown come mid-August.
Been getting an abnormal amount of rain for these parts in July this year (most lawns are super green now) and not sure how that will affect lawns in August, this season.
Cheers and thanks for sharing.

It is unusual for our area to be this dry in June and July. We'll often have a brown-up in August.
We have also had quite a few days with haze and smoke due to Canadian fires -- looks like New York is getting that as well.
Best wishes - CR

That is funny best to just hide in the house with the blinds and blacked out curtains Screw that old heat from Oklahoma/Texas come to Minnesota.
First winter here feb 22 from google got here Nov 1st 2021 and once it snowed in first week of Dec 2021 didn't see the ground again until early May 2022.
This was towards end of March 2023 we got a little more snow that year

I was there for 4 days to take part in many of the off-road trails. It was some of the most amazing scenery I've seen in my life. Temps were reasonable, between 75 F and 85 F (24 C to 30 C). I just checked the weather there and it's supposed to hit 104 F (40 C) tomorrow. Among the sites along one of the trails was a pair of fossilized dinosaur footprints, 75 million years old.

I am running Windows 10 but can not turn on my computer w/o being presented w/ the Windows 11 icon from this or that site though i now wonder the circumstances . as best as i recall it is probably advertising on MS sponsored news site . in fact as i write this i did an experiment and viewed the news as curated and presented by Microsoft Edge and Voila there it was . of course i should not be a surprised . thank you for the suggestion . i will take it under advisement .

Covid seems to have a vendetta against you two. Hope you both recover quickly.

I'm fine - I tested negative at 04:30 today.
Herself is not so good though - the emphysema doesn't help with that and Covid makes it worse.
Still, she's fully jabbed so it should be a much milder case than last time.

Yep. And she gave it me - I passed a test on Saturday morning, and failed one this arvo.
I feel rough, but we'll just have to see how it goes, I guess. They are talking about putting Herself on antivirals because of her medical history, but I'll just have to work through it. Ho hum.

When I had it last month, my husband passed his tests 5 days running. He checked the morning he was supposed to go back to work and had finally succumbed.
