I used to work in SF, and that was one of the first, if not the first semi-official CPian get-together. We've had several more since then. Chris organized that meetup when he knew I'd be there and the CP/Dundas teams were also gonna be in town for a tech conference.

However - the cacti, except for the fat one in the front-center, were all grown from seeds. An odd hobby. The real tall ones are about 3yrs old "Sabra's", the cluster, lower left, are about 6 1/2 years old. Better than looking at cars

Only ever been there in Summer (nephew's wedding), and I thought it a really nice place. But still not a patch on Vancouver - somewhere I lost my heart more than 50 years ago.

Been trying to convince Dave to move there for nearly 20 years!

My wife and I at Cherry Beach on our way to celebrate a wedding anniversary at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. (Not members, as guests of one.)

We live in Guelph. If you're ever out our way, look me up. I'll buy you a beer... or two.
Cheers,
Mike Fidler

I used to go to Guelph reasonably often but, unfortunately, no longer. It's a bit special in Winter, isn't it?

Quote: It's a bit special in Winter, isn't it? Positioned where it is, a good distance from Lake Huron, we don't get a lot of streamers.
Besides, this is supposed to be an El Niño year. Winter is projected to be milder.
AND there is GO train service.
Cheers,
Mike Fidler

Look very similar to me.
OT:
1. Using stationary to change monitor height is my pet peeve.
2. That painting/picture has to be really awful to be kept facing window.

But stationary is a good monitor base, it doesn't move. Stationery on the other hand. . . .
How else are you going to get your monitors the correct height? The chair only goes so low.

I work for a mining company. There is map of Australia with some old projects from 2010 that is why it is not on wall.

Though that would be Milsons Point your looking at there wouldn't it?
I've got a construction site opposite me. Only two streets over and looking in the opposite direction to you.
