AFAIK a listview (in details mode) gives one column that may or may not be modified
(depending on LabelEdit), all others are read-only.
So I suspect you need another kind of control.

No, but with the designer in VS2005, it's kind of trivial to whip up sample UI.

Please tell what are the types of those projects (windows application, class library) and how are they related to each other (project1 referencing project2 or the other way around).?

This is Windows Application and project1 referencing project2

Ok, just to clarify completely. Project1 compiles to a windows application and project2 assumably compiles to a class library that is used by the application, right.?
As project2 does not know about the types declared by project1 and also cannot know (you're not allowed to reference an executable), your best bet would be declaring an event in project2 that signals to project1 (or any other) that it should open the form (or whatever it wants to do in reaction to the event occuring in project2). Project1 registers to this event and inside the event handler opens the wanted form

you have to reference the Myproject1 in Myproject2 like this:
using Myproject1;
Then you just initialize an instance of the form that you want to open. For example the form named is myForm;
<br />
myForm form = new myForm();<br />
form.Show();<br />

I am try it but it not show Project1 forms in project1
in project2
using Project1
project1form not shows

Hello ALL,
HOW CAN I READ ARABIC TEXT FILE USING STREAM IN C# CODE?
|
|
|
|
|
Please don't write in all upper case, it's considered to be the equivalent of screaming.
You read the file just like any other text file. You specify the encoding when you open the stream. If the encoding is UTF-8, you can use the override where you don't specify encoding, as that's the default.

You can use any kind of encoding type when you read or write a file: System.Text.Encoding.*

Hi,
I created a new program in VS2005 c# and every time I logon to the page I encounter a message "You are not authorized" but I have the roles that is needed to login to the specific page.
If I removed the restriction in webconfig then it works though without authentication.
in my global.asax file
protected void Application_AuthenticateRequest(Object sender, EventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
if (HttpContext.Current.User != null)<br />
{<br />
if (HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated)<br />
{<br />
if (HttpContext.Current.User.Identity is FormsIdentity)<br />
{<br />
FormsIdentity id = (FormsIdentity)HttpContext.Current.User.Identity;<br />
Response.Write(id);<br />
string[] roles = GetUserRole(id.Name);<br />
HttpContext.Current.User = new GenericPrincipal("cf681743", roles);<br />
Trace.Write("Roles are: " + roles.ToString());<br />
}<br />
}<br />
}<br />
}
PS: IS there any simplified statements in global.asax, I am not sure with my codes
I just copied it from one of the example in the net.

This is what happens when you copy and paste code without understanding it. What happens if you step through the code ?

I am no allowed to debug. That is another problem.
In the new version, do we still need the global.asax or can we go directly using the webconfig??

I assume you mean you can't make debug work. You can't code without debugging. Why can't you debug ?

hey i want to trap a event which is generated when folder is opened otr tell me how can i know which folder is currently opening
|
|

Hi,
You can try FileSystemWatcher class. But i am not sure if it will work for you. This watcher is attached to a folder and raises various events, such as on file creation, on file changed, etc....
Caution ! some events are fired more than once even only a single operation seems to be going on. Means more that 1 event gets fired when a file is created. Search the net and you will get lots of material on the same topic.
