That wall should be there; one screen is essentially larger than the other, so the behaviour is correct. It'd also become very confusing if Windows tried to guess where you'd want your mouse to be.
The only way to get rid of it is by having the same resolution on both screens.

Well, of course I understand why it is there  .
When using Mouse without borders in the office with my main computer together with my laptop this is not happening and resolutions of both devices are completely different.
This could be implemented and it would improve the experience in most of the situations as there are really not much applications that are using the first pixel of the display, typically there are margins around that would avoid the mess to happen.
I've been wondering if anyone has developed that already...

Hi i have configured open Dns alternatively for un restricting for certain users i have configured in tcp/ip of general tab to use dns servers and there i specified the intranet domain ip so know i want to restrict all the users to use the open dns irrespective of configuration, hows its possible without manually going to do lap to lap is there any way pls suggest me

Hi! Greetings of the day,
I have a windows 2003 server and have recently configured it to act as a router by doing NAT configuration. I have a public IP address provided by my ISP.I have a web application hosted on one of my internal servers and able to access the application on LAN. How do I access the same application using my public IP address?

If the option is grayed out you have probably not defined an address pool. This can be done in the 'Adress Pool' tab. But this is for multiple IP adresses assigned by your ISP. If you have only one public IP address, you can use the 'On this interface option'.

Hi,
I am a bit out of my depth here so I have some questions. At my site we do unattended installs and configuration of our machines. I would like to script the install of a mmc snap in but have come to an impasse. I have found some sample code but I cannot find documentation to take me further. I would like to add the Group Policy Object Editor which I can do. But I want to further configure it to the local policy/Non-administrators which is where I get suck.

When a client request for a ip in dns server it get the ip after resolve. Now the client knows the ip of the web server it requested. But when client click a link in the page within the domain, i want to know how now client will connect with web server i.e via ip or name. what is the task of reverse lookup zone.

I've inherited a legacy IIS 7.0 website (vb.net website, not an application) that was running against an MSSQL 2005 Database.
Recently we upgraded to MSSQL 2008 R2. Now, when users go to certain pages, we get a SQL Connection timeout error. Investigating, it says this can happen when datareaders are used and connections aren't properly closed. I tried adding try/catch/finally statements, but I can still get the error. I've also updated the SQL Client to use the same version on both the SQL server and the Web Server, to no avail.
I pull a netstat when the issue happens, and there's literally thousands of connections to the SQL server (from the Web Server).. based on the one page (trying) to load.
This particular page makes a simple call to populate an Org diagram. Fairly straight forward. But for some reason, the page has almost taken off without control and uses up all the available connections to the SQL server.
Any thoughts on how I might troubleshoot/resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated!
Update:
I've found that when the database was upgraded from 2005 to 2008R2, some NULL columns were converted to columns with a 0 value..which then caused the stored procedure for the page to infinite loop and lock the connections (again.. not my code!). Any idea why that might have happened? Was the database not restored/converted properly?

Hello all,
That friend of mine's laptop is giving me more headaches tan the ones I'd like... Now I can't update it...
Have you been there and found a solution? the sites that are recommending me to download the latest update manager are not helping a lot...
As it is stated in the subject, the error that Windows Update is giving me is: 0x8024D001
And When I'm trying to go to the Microsoft update site a this page appears: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2497281
Any idea?
I've just finished sending all the backup data to the laptop and I would hate to reinstall everything again...

Why are you installing XP on it? Is the laptop not capable of supporting Windows 7?

This is a dell vostro 1000 and the OS that it came with is XP... therefore and trying to be legal and not to use pirate things... I've decided to go with that...

Turn on Automatic Updates
So, if you can't get the updater to work, run the updater...

There is the "wait an hour before trying again" - I suspect this is the old "turn it off, wait a couple of minutes and turn it back on" support trick: If it work, they think you're brilliant, if it doesn't, someone else will get the call when they call back...
