how can transfer inputed on another page

1. You can transfer by passing them as a parameters..
For example: http://yourdomain.com?input1=1&input2=2
2. You can store your data in Session object or Cache and retrieve them from other page..
3. if your data is so small, you can store it in cookies.
3. If you are using the silverlight, you can use the managed stroage that has more capacities than cookies. (I think 1 M or something)

You can use cookies, session variables, form values, just to name a few...

Just to submit values from one page to another DON’T USE cookies, session, or cache, these items will occupy your server memory. Assume if 1000 users logged in to your application, then your IIS will be very slow.
Use the EnableViewStateMac="false" page directive to the target page, which will allow you to get the values from the submitted page.
Bellow is the sample code, I am send values from default2.aspx to default3.aspx
Default2.aspx
<br />
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default2.aspx.cs" Inherits="Default2" %><br />
<br />
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><br />
<br />
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" ><br />
<head runat="server"><br />
<title>Untitled Page</title><br />
</head><br />
<body><br />
<form id="form1" runat="server" onsubmit="this.action='default3.aspx'"><br />
<div><br />
<input type="text" name="input1" /><br />
<input type="submit" value="submit" /><br />
</div><br />
</form><br />
</body><br />
</html><br />
Default3.aspx
<%@ Page Language="C#" EnableViewStateMac="false" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default3.aspx.cs" Inherits="Default3" %><br />
<br />
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><br />
<br />
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" ><br />
<head runat="server"><br />
<title>Untitled Page</title><br />
</head><br />
<body><br />
<form id="form1" runat="server"><br />
<div><br />
<%Response.Write(Request["input1"]); %><br />
</div><br />
</form><br />
</body><br />
</html><br />

Hi,
Please go to the following URL in IE7:
http://www.samarketplace.co.za/Categories.htm[^]
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, then scroll back up again. You will see that the Popular Computers Categories box has invisible sides.
Does any one know why this could happen?
Please advise.
Thanks
Brendan

No, I don't see that.
I have seen that IE sometimes fails to redraw some borders, but mostly IE 6. The way to fix that is usually to make the layout more robust, like for example making the containing element a layer (by settings position:relative; on it).
Experience is the sum of all the mistakes you have done.

I have done a website, using pages given to me by a graphic designer. He was very specific, I was told what fonts to use, etc. Here is the CSS for the three different areas we specify text:
.menuItem
{
font-family: Century Gothic;
font-size:smaller;
text-align: right;
margin-right: 10px;
}
.text
{
font-family: Century Gothic;
font-size:small;
font-style:italic;
font-weight:normal;
text-align: justify;
line-height: 18px;
margin-left: 20px;
}
.gradient
{
background-image: url('images/pages/home/gradient.JPG');
background-position: left top;
background-repeat: repeat;
font-family: Century Gothic;
font-size:small;
font-style:italic;
font-weight:400;
text-align: justify;
line-height: 18px;
margin-left: 20px;
}
This looks exactly like the screenshots in IE, but it looks terrible in Firefox. How can I keep the look we want in IE, but specify different fonts for Firefox ?

If the problem is that Firefox doesn't support Century Gothic, can you do something like font-family: Century Gothic, verdana (or a more appropriate font);

OK, so it chooses the next one if it doesn't find the first ? Thanks.

Hi,
I have a <ul> element and I need to center it. It can have anything from 0 to 5 <li> elements in it. I have tried to put the whole <ul> in a div with a style of text-align:center but it does not work. I think it is because of the float:left in my <li> element.
Here is my <ul> element:
<ul class="popular">
<li><img src="Images/TestCategory.jpg" alt="" height="64" width="85" /><br />Category 1</li>
<li><img src="Images/TestCategory.jpg" alt="" height="64" width="85" /><br />Category 2</li>
<li><img src="Images/TestCategory.jpg" alt="" height="64" width="85" /><br />Category 3</li>
<li><img src="Images/TestCategory.jpg" alt="" height="64" width="85" /><br />Category 4</li>
<li><img src="Images/TestCategory.jpg" alt="" height="64" width="85" /><br />Category 5</li>
</ul>
<div style="clear:both"></div>
Here is my styles:
ul.popular{margin: 0;padding: 0;}
ul.popular li{display:inline;list-style:none;margin: 0;padding: 0;text-align:center;float:left;}
ul.popular li img{border:solid 1px #ddd;}
Please can some help?
Thanks
Brendan</ul></li></ul></li></ul>

Hi All,
Absurd problem really.
We have created a web application. In some pages the autocomplete feature of the textboxes occur, while in the ones having tabstrip control the feature does not show up. What can I do to get rid of the problem? Can anybody help me.

So,what is the problem? Do you want the autocomplete feature on or off?

Hi All
Is there a way to click on a button, or a simple text as hyperlink; that takes me to a page at the same time or before automatically closing the window??
Maybe something using javascript:window.close();
Thanks

You've have to pass something to the new page on the URL, unless you want it to always close after a time when navigated to.

I have a database from where I read Images as byte[] and then convert it to System.Drawing.Image. How can I display that image on my aspx-form?

There is an ASP.NET forum....
The way to do this is to have a custom file extension that you use to specify the images, which knows to use Response.BinaryWrite to send the image back down. If you are in an aspx code behind amd you have an Image object, there's really no way to show it within a page, without saving it to the HDD first.

Hi
Is there a way to display two different pages in one single page WITHOUT USING FRAMES?????
Thanks
|
|
|
|
|
You can use an IFRAME or you'll need to join the pages on your server before displaying them.
