Hi All,...
I am very new in javascript.
Can anyone tell me how to compare dates in javascript?
I have two textboxes and input date is of format DD-MMM-YYYY
i.e. like 14-APR-2006
I need to show alerts that which date is bigger???
If anyone provide me some tips it would be better.
Thanks in advance....
Ajay

You can either convert the strings to a string format that is comparable, e.g. yyyy-mm-dd, or convert them into Date objects. The Date object might fbe able to parse the strings, otherwise you either have to parse it yourself, or convert it to a format that it can parse.

Hello,
Does anyone know why IE stores cookies in two different directories, and what the differences between the two stores are?
One directory is "Documents And Settings\[UserName]\Cookies" , and the other one is "Documents And Settings\[UserName]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" .
Thanks in advance,
Rich

I found out it's because of the way Windows Explorer displays them. The cookies are really only kept in the Cookies folder, and Explorer just shows them in the TIF folder as a convenience.

I havn't been able to remove white space around my back ground graphics in the table.
I put the background in the tag, and now I've tried it in a div tag, but neither will remove the space around the image. I've tried a lot of things with padding and margins, but nothing has worked yet.
You can view the page here or below in the code box =)

You got to be kidding. What does all that code have to do with the problem? Half of the code is even inside html comments, I can hardly see how that code could be relevant to anything at all.

Hi ,
You write the following code in body tag
topmargine="0"
rightmargin="0"
leftmargin="0"
bottom margin="0"
and also write cellspacing="0" and cellpadding="0" in every table tag

just put that into your css file. Saves you having to put it all over the place

Hi,
Is there a way to catch images before they will be used into MSHTML for display ?
I would like to analyse image and block image display into IE if I'm not ok with the image.
I'm working in c# into a IE instance and can interact with MSHTML and the WebBrowserControl.
Thanks !

Hi,
I'm running IIE 6.0 and an application written in .NET 2003. One of the requirements is that the data be stored on a hard drive other than the hard drive on the server. So I have a drive mapped on another machine which I can see on the server, however the WebServer does not have access to that drive.
The user is not required to enter a userid/password so I believe its running under IUSR_MSP-WEBSERVER but I have no idea for sure or what the password is to grant that UserID access.
Thank you,
Glenn

I have just started learning JavaScript.
When I typed the following code

Try this sample (your sample + digits 0 - 9):
<html>
<body>
<script>
document.write("My first JS lesson");
document.write("<br>");
for(var i = 0; i < 10; i++)
{
document.write(i+ "<br>");
}
</script>
</body>
</html>

Should I save the text file as first.htm or first.js ?
Actually, if I save it as first.htm, it works.

Hi.
I want to create a link in one page that links to a certain section in another page.
Any insights?
Thanks!
|
|
|
|
|
on the target page put an anchor link where you want to jump to
<A name="myAnchor" >
then when linking to that page use the # sign, so on your page with the link
<A href="myOtherPage.htm#myAnchor">Click here to goto MyAnchor on myOtherPage.htm</a>

Perfect. For some reason I thought I needed the "/" in between the anchor reference and html page.
Thanks!
