u need to use asp.net web controls for that and make them run at server. Only then u can bind them in the code view. Otherwise u have to write some javascript
to populate them.

You also need a mail component. Your web hotel most likely provides a common third party component that you can use. Then either the web hotel or the maker of the component have examples on how to use it.

Im trying to create a web application and I added a CreateUserWizard control. When I added this control and ran the application, I got this error (listed below) when I tried to open the page. I added a <form runat = "server"> tag and I got another error saying "A page can only have one server side form tag"

Then there has to be something wrong with your html, because it's not recognising the form correctly.

Hi everyone,
Can we bring third party tools such as adobe photoshop in the browser,whatever be the methodology.I know it would be difficult to add the reference of that tool in an asp.net project since asp.net accepts only .net or com components.
But i have seen , some applications which bring external imaging tools in thier browser.How to do it.Can we do this with pure HTML?
I think,I had asked this question earlier.But ,Since i am not aware of the solution yet, I am posting the question again.

I'm a long time reader and this is my first post!
I am looking for an embeddable Flash application that is capable of viewing a PDF file without the end-user having Adobe Acrobat installed on their computer.
Macromedia's Flash Paper is exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't just convert all of the PDFs to SWF files. If you could pass a URL or stream to the Flash Paper "movie", that would be ideal.
I'd like to be have an option to use our Flash viewer or their "application/pdf" application.
Any suggestions?

I am simply trying to use the uploadfile control with no success.
Also the remote server uses .net 1.0

I have IIS running on my local machine. When i run this on my local machine everything works beautiful. When i upload the files to a remote webserver (earthlink web hosting) I receive the error at the top.
Now i have been reading around and googleing and everything else and others have said that i need to build the application. I have built the application by clicking build / build page (website)
Then upload the two files back up to the web server but nothing changes same errors.
Then i read something about refrences and .dll files located in a bin folder but i cannot locate these files at all nor the bin folder.
If i need to get the bin folder on the remote web server where do i find it also where do i find the .dll file after a build.
Someone please give me step by step instructions of what i need to do to get this to work on the remote web server. Again it works on my local machine but not when i upload it to the remote server.

Hi there,
Basically, you cannot use the new features in the ASP.NET 2.0 like the partial class, CodeFile attribute, FileUpload control .... to run with the ASP.NET 1.0. The reason it's working on you machine is simply that you use the right version 2.0 in your local environment. On the remote server, they use an older version of ASP.NET (1.0), so you need to go back with the options provided by the ASP.NET 1.0, there are a couple of things that you might need to change in order ton run on the remote machine:
+ Use the inline code instead of the code-behind with the partial class.
+ Use the HtmlInputFile[^] control instead of the FileUpload control.
Below is a quick example for the changes:

I have a DateTime store in a Db in the format:

How can i convert this back to a standard date time?
P.s. i store my data in this way for SQL purposes, so please dont tell me to change it.
