Chris is the author of several open-source applications for Windows, including Mixere (an audio mixer for creating live sound collage), Whorld (a visualizer for sacred geometry), FFRend (a renderer for Freeframe visual effect plugins), and Fractice (a fractal explorer with extensive distributed processing).

Chris remembers when the world was less overpopulated and there was more unspoiled nature. The countless non-human species we're busy exterminating have existed for millions of years, and enjoy being alive just as much as we do. As long as people think anything matters more than loving the Earth, all is lost. Thank you for not breeding!

I currently work as a self-employed language translator. Back in school, I learned what must have been VAX Basic - phosphor green code on a glass tube. After transitioning from a VAX terminal to a Sinclair ZX81, I eventually got an Apple IIe and taught myself 6502 machine language. The past 30-odd years since have seen projects in various languages, for example Paver, a project built around a DIY CPU called Sonne-16.

Since early 2001 I've been working full time as a software developer and since 2004 I've been working mostly with Microsoft technology.
I started out as a product developer, but after a few years I switched to a project company where my roles ranged from developer up to consultant and from team lead and coach to manager.
Eventually I switched jobs and focused on the consultant part and then I got back to building a product once again. Now I work in a job where I get to do both.
