How to make the whatsapp button work with an existing phone number ?

I have a website and in the admin section I have a list of customer phone numbers. Next to it I put the edit, delete and whatsapp buttons. Can anyone help me how to make the whatsapp button work where when I press the button it goes straight into whatsapp for me to communicate with the customer.

ps: i have 40,000 customer phone numbers.

What I have tried:

I'm not trying anything yet because i have no idea how to do it.
